TranslateSync AI Privacy Policy
Effective July 29, 2026
TranslateSync AI ("we", "the service") keeps a Google Document and its translation synchronized. This policy describes what data the service accesses, how it is used, and your choices. It is written to be read — if anything is unclear, email chrismparkerpro@gmail.com.
Data we access
- Google account identity: your email address and Google account identifier, used to create your TranslateSync AI account and associate your document pairs with you.
- Documents you explicitly connect: TranslateSync AI uses Google's drive.file per-file authorization model. It can read and write only the documents you individually connect through the in-app file picker, and the translated copies it creates in your Drive. It cannot see the rest of your Drive.
- Document content of connected pairs: paragraph text, formatting, comments, and suggested edits — the material being synchronized.
How we use it
- To detect changes and write translated updates to the paired document.
- To translate text, the changed passages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API, acting as our processor. Anthropic does not use API data to train its models.
- To mirror comments and suggestion notifications between the paired documents.
AI subprocessor and model training
TranslateSync AI uses exactly one third-party AI service, disclosed in full here:
- Provider: Anthropic PBC
- Service: Claude API (Messages API), model
claude-sonnet-5 - Plan / tier: paid commercial API tier, under Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service. No consumer or free tier is used.
- Purpose: machine translation of changed passages and of comment text.
Your document content is never used to train any AI or machine-learning model. Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service contractually prohibit it: "Anthropic may not train models on Customer Content from Services." This applies to raw, aggregated, and derived data alike.
Anthropic automatically deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days. That short retention window exists for trust-and-safety review only — it is not used for model training, and TranslateSync AI has no agreement permitting any other secondary use.
We use no other AI or machine-learning providers. We do not train, fine-tune, or improve any model of our own on your content, and we do not sell or share it with data brokers, advertisers, or analytics providers.
Payments
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own hosted checkout and billing pages and never reach our servers, so we cannot see or store them.

- Service: Stripe Checkout, Billing, and the Customer Portal
- What it receives: your email address, the plan you chose, your payment details, and the billing address and device information Stripe collects for fraud prevention and tax purposes.
- What we keep: Stripe's customer and subscription identifiers, your plan, its status, and the current billing period — enough to know what you are entitled to. No card numbers, ever.
No document content is sent to Stripe. The only personal data that reaches it is your email address, which identifies your subscription, plus whatever you enter on its payment form. Stripe processes that data as an independent controller for payment processing, fraud prevention, and its own legal and regulatory obligations; its handling is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
If you never subscribe, no data about you goes to Stripe at all.
Limited Use disclosure
TranslateSync AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: Google user data is used only to provide the document-synchronization features you see; it is not used for advertising; it is not sold; it is not used to train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models; and it is transferred to third parties only as necessary to provide the service (translation processing), for security, or to comply with law.
What we store
- Your account record (email, Google identifier, and a short-lived OAuth access token; legacy administrator connections may also retain an OAuth refresh token). Credentials are stored encrypted at rest by our hosting provider.
- A synchronization cache of connected documents: paragraph content, formatting metadata, and past translations (translation memory), retained while the pair is active so syncing stays fast and inexpensive.
- Operational logs (sync events, error messages) and daily usage counters.
- If you subscribe, a billing record: Stripe's customer and subscription identifiers, your plan, its status, and the current billing period. No payment details.
What we never do
- No selling of data, no advertising use, no profiling.
- No human reading of your documents, except with your explicit permission during support of an issue you raise.
- No access to Drive files you have not connected.
Deletion and your choices
- Revoke TranslateSync AI's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions — syncing stops immediately.
- Email chrismparkerpro@gmail.com to have your account record and synchronization cache deleted; we complete deletion within 30 days.
- Deleting a paired document (or unpairing) ends syncing for it; its cached content is removed on request as above.
Security
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Credentials and cached content are stored on access-controlled infrastructure (Render). Per-user authorization means one user's documents are never readable by another user's session.
Changes
We will post any material changes to this page and update the effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
